Milo McIver SP

This important day started full of promise, clear and dry. I got all
the controls out early, and I had lots of volunteers to help setup and
run the meet..My thanks to the usual volunteers. 75 people came and
gave it a try. 4 familys on the white, 17 entrys on the yellow, 15
entrys on the orange, and 9 on the 'green'

McIver lived up to it's reputation. While the forest was as open as it
ever gets, the terrain is so rough, and the low spots wet, (especially
this year), that frankly the 'green ' course was really demanding.
When I went out to pick up the three controls that looped onto the
island, it had begun to rain, and the cobbles were really slippery and
painful to negotiate - I've learned my lesson about putting any more
controls out there!

But don't expect me to let up too much! I keep finding neat new things
out there that will end up on the map sooner or later. I found 2 new
ponds,another great rentrant, lots of boulders and knolls, and learned
the topography along the river at the west end of the map....and you'll
be there next year!!
