CROC TRAVEL GRANT PROGRAM

During 2008 CROC will fund a travel grant program in the amount of $500. The grants will be offered as a stipend to encourage participation in A meets.

Funding Availability

Grants will typically be awarded for up to $100, but grant awards will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Grants will be awarded first come, first served.

Preferences

Preference in evaluating requests for the grants will be given in the following order:

1) juniors who are CROC members and who have not attended A meets

2) other juniors who are CROC members

3) other CROC members who have not participated in A meets

4) any other CROC members.

Process

A written request identifying the A meet for which the grant is being requested along with an estimate of expenses must be submitted to the CROC Training Coordinator, Glen Cafferty (glen.cafferty@msn.com), at least 30 days prior to the event. Reimbursement of the approved grantees’ expenses will occur after the event once actual receipts for up to the amount of the grant are submitted to the CROC Training Coordinator. Requests can be made for events more than 30 days in the future.

Notes

Applications may be made as an individual or as a group with group applications encouraged. The program will be reviewed at the Annual General Meeting, scheduled for November 9, 2008.
