Zero Series - Council Crest

Council Crest, the "summit" of Portland, offers by far the most spectacular view of Portland.  The course will be a 2.5 K traditional linear orienteering event with flags.  Although rather short in distance, the steep terrain makes this course a challenging workout.

Schedule: Starts will be open from 6:15 to 6:45. Late comers are welcome but control pick up will begin about 20 to 30 minutes after the last start or 7:15, whichever comes first.

Where to Meet: Meet at the circular stone overlook in the center of the park next to the water tower. (This is at the very summit of the park, about 100 meters uphill from the huge red and white microwave / radio tower.  Note that this event does NOT meet at Ainsworth School, the start location for some previous Council Crest events.)

Beginners: As at all CROC meets, beginners are welcome! Participants or the meet director will be happy to give you tips for getting started in the sport.

Cost: No charge

RSVP: Please RSVP to Brian Hauck by 6pm, Wed, April 29, so that we have a map for you.
