Member training - Mt. Tabor Sprint

  • Wednesday, July 24

  • Start 6:30-7:00 p.m., course closes at 8:30 pm

CROC advanced trainings are held for members each month for no cost. These workshops are either to improve individual orienteer skills on a course, or to improve the club’s ability to provide quality courses. This training gives you practice in making quick decisions while running to fairly easy locations.

We’ll take advantage of the car-free roads at Mt. Tabor on a Wednesday evening to practice a sprint course. A sprint is a short distance (2.6 km for this event) with lots of direction changes, with tricky things to observe in the map, and it can be completed in 12 minutes! For a bonus, you can also do the permanent course at Mt. Tabor.

Location - Mt. Tabor Park in SE Portland.

Contact training coordinator Anndy Wiselogle for the exact location and to reserve a map.
